Please join us for the general membership meeting of the Ashland Area Farmers Market. The meeting will be held on April 13, from 10-noon at the Vaughn Library on the second floor. Vendor applications will be available starting this date. New and old vendors are encouraged to attend. Add Comment At this years annual membership meeting new board members Eileen McCutchen and Lucy Jackson Askue were elected to the board. Eileen and Lucy are both vendors at the market. Libby Sutton and Amy Syverson were re-elected to the board bringing the total number of board members to 9. A big welcome and thank you to Eileen and Lucy for volunteering to be a part of the Farmer's Market Board. You can download vendor applications for the 2012 season on the vendor information page. To be considered for site assignments based on previous attendance and location please return season applications by May 11th to the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce. Site assignments will be mailed to season pass vendors by May 18th. Join us April 28th for the 2012 General Membership meeting. 10am to Noon at the AERC Meeting Hall. The first saturday of each month is Customer Appreciation Day - the next one will be September 3rd! Saturday, July 23rd is Kid's Day at the Ashland Area Farmer's Market from 8 am to noon on the 200 block of Chapple Avenue in Ashland. Join us for music, family games, activities, and delicious fun food samples featuring local products from the market. Let the kids play and explore the market while shopping for fresh local produce, baked goods, and crafts. Customer Appreciation Day was great time! We had food samples, give-aways, great music, the mayfly hatch, and lots of happy faces! Thank you to these door prize donors: Free Hands Farm, Maple Hill Farm, Hermit Creek Farm, Northwoods Dye Works, Sweet Pea Soaps, and Chili Joe's Confections! We will be celebrating customers the first Saturday of each month this season! Matt from the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin visited the market to teach customers about bike safety, The Busy Beavers 4-H group gave away milk and cheese to celebrate dairy month, Chili Joe unveiled his new danishes, and we saw the first strawberries of the season! |
